Where should I put a homelab in a house or apartment?
Somewhere with airflow, a circuit you are not already loading, and a wall between it and where you sleep. Basements and garages suit noisy gear but bring humidity and dust. Cupboards work only with ventilation — a sealed cupboard raises intake temperature until the fans spin up and the noise problem returns.
